Get ready for some comic related fun in March when our fair city celebrates its love of all things funny-book related by putting on one heck of a convention! While we aren’t participating in Emerald City Comic Con itself, we are playing host to a number of creator signings as the con is getting underway. So if you’re in the mood to meet some wonderful people consider coming out for one or more of these events! They’re all free, no con pass required.

Wednesday – March 11, 7-9 PM

In addition to a lot of our commander and new comic book day madness, we’re playing host to a couple of creators – Vita Ayala and Kelly Williams. 

Vita Ayala

Vita Ayala is a queer Afro-Latinx writer out of New York City, where they live with their wife and cat sons. Their work includes THE WILDS (Black Mask Studios), SUPERGIRL (DC), XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS (Dynamite), MORBIUS THE LIVING VAMPIRE (Marvel), NEBULA (Marvel), LIVEWIRE (Valiant), and SUBMERGED (Vault), among others. They’re non-stop, like Hamilton!

Kelly Williams

Kelly Williams makes comics. Some Horror, some not so much. He's done a ton of creator owned and self-published work as well as work for a slew of publishers like Dark Horse, BOOM!, IDW, Image, and more. His most recent books, A LETTER TO JO (Top Shelf) and THE DARK: COLLECTION ONE (Source Point Press) are super good. At least he thinks so. 

He doesn't know any magic tricks but he kinda wishes he did.

We’ll have copies of both Vita and Kelly’s books available for purchase + signing during the event, so pop on by and have a look!

Thursday – March 12, 7-9 PM

Need a reason to stop by the store the first night of the con?  How about an appearance by the entire creative team of the new comic Finger Guns! We’ll have Justin Richards, Norm Harper, and Val Halvorsen in store promoting this new book. And as a bonus, Norm and Val will have their new book The Sequels available too!
