Attention all you commander players out there! The next Commander Party event is almost upon us, and this time we’re spicing things up with some bonus prizes for those of you who build something special for the event. So if you like fun variations on the commander format, read on to see what we’ve got in store!

March of the Machine Commander Party Details

So….just what is a commander party? Let's start with the basics - a commander party is a free to play commander event with special rules to represent happenings of the Magic the Gathering Story. For this particular commander party, we’re working our way through the March of the Machine! 

But before we go much further, here’s the date and time info!

  • Date: May 27, 2023
  • Start Time: 2:00 PM
  • Expected Run Time: approximately 2 hours
  • Entry Fee: None!
  • Player Cap: 52 

Quick Note on Time

Normally commander events are a bit more casual, but for this one event, time here is pretty important. During the event, at pre-specified times, or at times dictated by events within the games, players will receive special bonuses related to the planes their defending.

Planes to Defend

You’ll have a choice between 7 different planes to defend. Each plane will have a number of corruption counters that will have to be purged in order to defeat the siege and be victorious.

  • Eldraine
  • Kaladesh
  • Kaldheim
  • Kamigawa
  • New Capenna
  • Theros

As with our Phyrexia All Will Be One commander party, each plane’s path to victory will be different. For a full list of each faction card just head over here!

Prizes

Just for attending our event, we’ll have a special phyrexian language copy of Beast Within for you. 

And to further heighten the theme - for this commander party, players who build a commander deck using a commander from either March of the Machine or March of the Machine Aftermath will get to pick a bonus promo from our Phyrexia All Will Be One event or our Brothers’ War event.

Players who win their pod will also receive a Magic Promo Pack in addition to all the other cool promos they’ve already recieved.
